Dignita is a not-for-profit brunch cafe which opened its doors in Amsterdam in 2015 as part of the Not For Sale Social Enterprise.
The profits that Dignita generates (via a standard modes of operation) are contributed to the Not For Sale social enterprise programs. These programs aim to rehabilitate survivors of human trafficking within the Netherlands. Participants engage in a 3-phase culinary training program which is completed in the Dignita training kitchen and eventually work their way into a position in the main operational kitchen.
Working alongside the ROC Amsterdam (Chef training school) we allow our participants to undertake recognised culinary modules which are adapted to their specific social needs and eventually gain a formal qualification. With new opportunities on the horizon, our programme participants can enter the hospitality workforce, better support their families and have a more positive outlook on life.
